Hero iON Review
The Hero MotoCorp has planned to launch its new hydrogen fuel cell concept vehicle named as iON which is expected to be priced around Rs.75,000. The new bike will be very unique in its design and it will give a tough competition. The bike will be packed with lot of thrilling and exciting features which is quite good.
The Hero iON will come with excellent external dimensions in terms of its length, width and height which are represented below.
Apart from that, the vehicle will provide the wheelbase of 1388 mm and ground clearance of 203 mm. The kerb weight of the Hero iON is found to be approximately 100 kg.The Hero iON will be powered by an electric wheel rim motors with a lithium air battery pack along with the hydrogen fuel. The new bike will have an electric start type which is easy for the rider to start the vehicle. It will be offered with an advanced Lithium Air batteries and super capacitors for smooth energy needs while braking and acceleration.
The usage of Lithium air batteries ensures high energy density because they use oxygen from the air instead of storing in an oxidizer internally. Similarly, the super capacitors assures smooth energy flow for better braking and acceleration. One of the important feature including Rider information for connecting the basic information of the bike and transmits it to the rider’s helmet.
The iON is expected to deliver the maximum speed of around 160 kmph and it can able to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 5 seconds. But it will be possible to reach 300 kms on a single charge. The vehicle will feature handle grip finger controls, electronic sensors, vehicle collision detection which makes easy for the rider to control the bike. The bike does not have a traditional steering and it can be steered through a rotating front and rear wheel.
The Hero iON will come with a revised and excellent braking and suspension mechanisms. The front suspension of the bike is of electro-magnetic with anthropomorphic linkage and rear suspension is of road vision controlled damping response. The advanced m-link suspension of the bike helps in utilizing the magnetorheological damping which is suitable to the road condition real time with the help of several sensors.
Both front and rear brakes will be provided with electronically controlled regenerative brakes with ABS and collision avoidance. The side profile of the bike is decorated with the 17 inches wheels of front tire size 110-70 R17 and rear tire size of 175-80 R17. The wheel type of the vehicle will have an integrated electric traction motor with hubless model which is quite impressive.

Hero iON Specifications
"The prime specs of Hero iON are listed here. The overall length, width of the bike should give you an idea about its manoeuverability to sneak and run through the traffic jams.Engine specs of iON are also listed here. With the power (in bhp) and torque (Nm) figures the most important ratios - power to weight ratio of iON and torque to weight ratio. The displacement (in cc) is the measure of cubic capacity of the engine. The performance figure of the bike zero to sixty and zero to 100 in seconds will give you the sense of the power the bike possess and its on road performance. The lesser the time taken by the bike to reach 60kmph or 100kmph the faster it is over it competitors "
